Festivals are a time to cut loose and have some fun!

So this blog post is going to be full of things you could take to a festival that are just for fun: from silly items, to drinking games to useful stuff that is a little quirky.

They also can make some great great Christmas gifts if you happen to be missing one for your festival-addicted friend.

Disclaimer: this is not a sponsored post, these are just all items I think are cool or would love to get bought for me.

Festival Kit

A Festival Kit is a small pack that has a variety of useful things you may find yourself needing at a festival: a mint, a rain poncho, a tooth brush etc.

They are a fun emergency box to take with you because ‘You never know!’.

One Stop Festival sell both a basic AND and a Deluxe version!

A few years ago I actually got one of these for Christmas and I loved it!

I made a short video about it too, which you can watch here.

Collapsable Cups

The cup. It is a basic, essential household item that everyone has.

When you think of its core requirements; it has to be solid and hold liquid reliably.

So a collapsable cup is something that blows my mind! It is a cup that can be folded up to save space!

How does it hold water when it’s extended? Is this what Alchemy is for?

Collapsable Cups might as well be magic as far as I’m concerned!

I got one for Christmas a few yers ago and every now and then I just stare at it, confused.

You pull it out AND THEN IT HOLDS LIQUID!
Genuine magic.

But if you want a magic cup for yourself, you can get this one from Oliver Bonas for just £12!

Beer Bong

The staple item of any young festival attendee, the Beer Bong is a funnel and a pipe, long enough to hold about one beer.

If you are with people who like to drink and get involved in drinking games, a Beer Bong is always a hit!

This probably needs a clean before my next festival…

And so popular is the concept of a Beer Bong, that there is an entire website dedicated to them!

They sell different sized versions, replacement parts, cleaning kits and even a Beer Bong Holder to “show them [off] in a classy way at your next party.”

Not sure how much I agree with that, but if you are in the market for a beer Bong, you probably couldn’t do much better than this place.

Drinking Games Sets

Continuing the drinking games theme, there are literally hundreds (probably thousands) of drinking games in existence.

Some are just about talking, while others go to the other extreme and require full board game set ups!

These games ask a lot of people who are TRYING to get drunk…

So let’s discuss some fun, simple drinking games you can buy!

Beer Pong Set
This is actually a hilarious joke gift because the ‘Set’ is just Solo Cups and Ping Pong balls.

However, Beer Pong is a classic drinking game and is the perfect game for any festival.

Buzzed Drinking Game
From the people who brought you What Do You Meme, Buzzed is a simple game that offers a lot of fun.

You read cards and if the statement applies to you; “you like cottage cheese” you drink.

Or there are challenges, like “take turns naming fast food chains” and the first person to run out of names drinks.

It’s fun, doesn’t have a bunch of confusing rules, and makes for a simple but fun way to drink with friends.

Drunk Uno
Everyone knows that the best drinking games just alter the rules of an already well-known game.

Enter ‘Drunk Uno’, a classic game made even more fun with drinking rules. Not an official game from Mattel; (shockingly), this version from Etsy has a copy of Uno, the rules for Drunk Uno, and four shot glasses.

Inflatable Chairs

A few years ago these inflatable sofas blew up (pun unintended) in popularity and festivals became full of them!

They are self-inflating chairs that are lightweight, small, easy to use and comfortable. You air the bag against the wind and it fills up, then just seal the gap and you have a blown up chair!

Be aware that they do take a lot of space and can annoy other people, but for chilling at camp, these are incredible!

Themed Sleeping Bags

Want to look cool while you sleep? Well you don’t need to stick with a boring standard Sleeping Bag, get a fun novelty one instead!

There is the classic Pizza Slice Sleeping Bag, though it is a LITTLE expensive (At £200+!)

If you want to sleep but have the ability to also run, try a full-body sleeping bag. This one from Sleeping Bags Outlet is surprisingly affordable at just £55!

The only issue is… well the fact that it looks awful.

For when you want to go camping but also feel like a newborn in a Baby Grow.

If you do decide to go the joke route for a sleeping bag, be sure to only use it in good weather though.

Sleeping Bags use a season rating to let you know what temperature the bag is useful for, and I’m guessing most joke sleeping bags are only good for very warm weather.

Wrap Up

Pretty much all music festivals were cancelled in 2020 due to the Coronavirus Pandemic (in case you haven’t been keeping up qwith the news for the past 12 months…).

In 2021 I have got all my fongers crossed that festivals will come back! If you keep the faith as well, buying some festvial gifts for Christmas my be a great idea.]

But anyway, here’s hoping you have a great Christmas period, even with
